Since ancient times humans have fasted, sometimes for religious reasons but often simply because food was scarce. The human body is designed to go through stages of feast and famine. The Simply Stay Keto Food Fast Retreat has been very carefully designed to replicate the benefits of fasting while still providing the body with complete nutrition from real food rather than dehydrated, packaged meals or shakes.
The very specific amounts protein, fat and carbohydrate in this 7 night retreat (5 x day fast on real food and then re-introduction to more varied foods) and the amount of daily calories consumed (no more than 800) causes your body to generate energy from non-carbohydrate sources after glycogen stores are depleted.
The unique combination of macro and micro nutrients from plant sources, low in some specific amino acids and the reduction in calories is designed to trick your body into thinking it’s fasting, even though it’s being given energy. The diet plan is mimicking a fasting state and therefore triggers the body's own self-healing and cellular repair process called autophagy.

5 x day Fast on Real Food. This is a strict VLCD (Very Low Calorie Diet) 750 - 800 calorie per day restricted eating plan devised to mimic fasting. The plan consists of low-sugar fruit smoothie breakfasts, steaming vegetable soups, coconut and almond butter energy bars, raw cacao crispy snacks and kale crackers, (all homemade) as well as olives and electrolyte energy drinks.
